Toolakea is a female-led design agency based in Naarm, working with brands like Clothing the Gaps, Good Times Pilates, and Leonards House of Love.
We’re a boutique agency of 5, growing fast and looking for a graphic designer to join us three days a week - someone consistent, confident in their craft, and keen to grow with us long term.
We are not currently hiring, but there’s no harm in dropping a line anyway!
This role is for a Senior Graphic Designer who can bring strong taste, technical skill and creative confidence to a fast-moving studio environment. You’ll work closely with our Creative Director and Creative Lead across branding, campaigns, digital design, websites and retainers, helping turn client ideas into considered, distinctive visual work that feels specific to each brand, never generic.
The details:
3-4 days a week (around 25-32 hours, with potential for more)
Melbourne based
1 day a week in our Collingwood Studio
On the books (not freelance)
Ongoing hours with a bit of week-to-week flexibility
No international applicants or work visa sponsorship available (sorry!)
Starting end of May / start of June
$50/hr including Super
You’ll need:
5+ years of graphic design experience (agency preferred
Experience in Squarespace
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
A solid eye for layout, typography, and visual rhythm
Experience working in fast-paced environments
An interest in music, culture, and fashion
Reliability and pride in your work
Bonus if you have:
Shopify experience
Animation or motion skills
Video editing skills
Experience working within a small studio or across multiple brands
